Life Learning Support Packages

Life Learning High School Transcript Packages are available for unschoolers or life learners not completing traditional coursework. A living portfolio or blog is required to be enrolled in this program. The portfolio and/or blog will be used to review and assign high school credits to the student. Students are looked at as being on a learning journey and have journey discussions of directions, goals, and life learning. All packages begin with a journey planning discussion between the parent, student, and HES. During this discussion the student expresses their interests and the path they envision for their journey and brainstorm with the parent and HES how to make their vision a reality. The HES will go over what is required in a Living Portfolio or blog in order to qualify for high school credits. The family may decide to have other journey discussions during the year to discuss changes to the student’s path as well as brainstorm for new ideas and discuss credit assignment. Students have the option to earn ¼, ½, or whole high school credits through Life Learning Packages.
